4 Causes of Annoying Sounds Coming From Your Pipes 

High Water Pressure 

Your water pressure shouldn’t exceed 80 PSI; otherwise, it can put undue stress on your pipes. Excessive water pressure can cause pipes to vibrate and lead to whistling or screeching noises. This occurs when water is forced through partially closed valves or narrow pipes. High pressure strains plumbing fixtures and can lead to premature failure. Water Hammer 

Water hammer happens when a valve or faucet is suddenly closed, causing the water flow to stop abruptly.
